Ok, well today was fun. Got the tanks all fixed up and dried overnight. A test of the tanks for leaks showed that two of them leaked (air bubbles came out when pressure was applied to the empty tank) so i had to re-goup them with silicone and let them dry. Just as i was getting it all ready to go, things were filled, ink was flowing, print heads were giving out normal test patterns, etc… i noticed a screw on the floor that hadn’t been there before. Also, oddly, no reason to make a connection here, but the ink stopped flowing into the print heads and the printer stopped working.
(sigh)
It seems that a screw in the capping station that i had JUST FIXED a few weeks ago had shuttered loose (vibration probably) and while i can’t see for the life of me why that screw would completely stop the functionality of the printer… after yanking things apart and putting them back together again… i was able to do a successful test print. yay!
Now i can start printing the stuff that i was going to print *yesterday afternoon* -_- I think i’m in the mood to listen to Tool. LIke, lots of Tool. at high volume. Yes.
